Delete your Lendumine account

In the app — immediate

1. Open Lendumine and sign in.
2. Tap Profile (bottom right), then the settings gear.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Read what will happen, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete my account forever.

Deletion happens straight away; you do not need to contact us. If a rental is still in progress (an item is out, or a payment is being held), the screen tells you what to finish first, so neither person is left with an item or money in limbo.

Without the app — by email

If you have uninstalled Lendumine or can no longer sign in, email hello@lendumine.com with the subject “Delete my Lendumine account” from the email address on your account, or include the phone number and username you signed up with. We reply within one business day, confirm the account is yours (usually with a code texted to its phone number), delete it, and email you once it is done.

You can also ask us to delete specific data without closing your account (for example, a photo or your saved cards) at the same address.

What is erased

• Your profile, photo, bio and username
• Your phone number, email address and ZIP code
• All of your listings and their photos
• Your saved payment cards (removed from our payment processor, Stripe)
• Your friends, circle memberships and invitations
• Your saved items, requests and notifications

What is kept, and for how long

• Completed rentals and the payments ledger are kept in anonymised form, with your name replaced by “Deleted user”. They are also the other person's record of a transaction, and we are required to keep accurate financial records.
• Messages you sent inside someone else's conversation stay in that conversation, attributed to “Deleted user”.
• Reports of abuse, including the reported content, are kept for up to two years so repeat offenders can be identified, or longer where the law requires.
